It goes without saying that Suppositori willingly agreed to appear, assembling an entourage of seven or eight gay-icon-loving queens for the literary event. The camera captured the enthusiastic drag mob, dressed in matching black and white outfits, for an upcoming episode of the show. The crew also took the opportunity to solicit Suppositori with a few open-ended questions. "They pulled me out of line and asked me why I decided to use the name," she said. "And I said, 'Well, I like to put things in people's butts.' I don't think that's going to make it onto the show, just judging by the look on their faces."
According to Suppositori, the hybrid name dawned on her one day in a pharmacy in San Francisco, when she spotted the potential name on some unsuspecting medical-product packaging. The resulting stage handle went through several incarnations and more than one owner before settling down at its current home. The name itself was never meant to describe Suppositori's drag performances, which have nothing to do with Beverly Hills 90210, Donna Martin, Trick, or House of Yes. Count it as an exercise in warped pop-cultural wordplay that led to an improbable convergence of two distinctly perverse performance careers.
Tori reportedly found great delight in finally coming face to face with her drag double. "I walked up, and she was sitting there in her third trimester," Suppositori said. "But still wearing four-inch heels and looking very beautiful, and she said, 'I've been wanting to meet you for so long!' while the cameras rolled on." In response to this momentous event, Suppositori reported noticing with some surprise that "Tori's head was a normal size."
