The Transfer has been an incubator for some of San Francisco's best underground dance scenes: the tunes you hear here may well go on to pack much larger clubs months after they've worn out their welcome in this Castro-adjacent hangout. Electro, dubstep, house, hip-hop, industrial, and New Wave DJs have all spun here. The club has recently undergone a few changes, however, so time will tell whether those changes are for the better or worse.
