This Civic Center restaurant is not your average Thai joint. You can tell from the Star Trek utopia-inspired dining room and the extensive menu with dishes that change from sweet to sour to hot, all in one bite. Ice cream drinks are better suited for dessert because of their sweetness. Try the curries, the salmon in banana leaf, and the eggplant stuffed with shrimp. Lalita is on the edge of the Tenderloin but close to theaters.
